Story Line - Where's it going to go?

So the first thing you need to think about when writing a play is a storyline. Where is your play going to go?

Below is a link to an extract from 'The Crafty Art of Playmaking', a book by playwright Alan Ayckbourn, about the importance of having a stoyline within your play. Read through the first few paragraphs and make notes on how a storyline can affect your play.

After you have read through the above extract you must then decide on a storyline for your play.

Keep in mind your task at the end is to write a play about a part of your school day.

Note: For a small sript it's best to keep it to a small amount of characters, or people, wthin your play. So if you are writing about your lunch break maybe only write about your circle of 4 or 5 friends, or maybe your family if you are writing about your morning routine.
